Nessus Network Auditing

The third book in my Open Source Security Series, HD Moore and I worked up an outline for this, vetting it with Renaud Deraison who joined Noam Rathaus as a member of the four editor team. Each of us contributed as an author, though I didn't "own" any chapters -- I contributed to many of them, working with their owning authors. This author-editor teamwork happened for all the editors.

The author team on this was incredible, bringing the enterprise experience of some together with the development experience of well-known Nessus developers. Working with HD was especially excellent, as he fuses those two realms of experience, having worked on Nessus to make it a more capable component of his employer's vulnberability assessment service.

Read the reviews from Amazon here. Richard Bejtlich gave it a glowing review, saying 'Nessus Network Auditing' (NNA) is the definitive (and only) guide to the Nessus open source vulnerability assessment tool. I recommend all security professionals read this book. You may start as a Nessus user, but the book will help you become part of the Nessus community.
